This is a seldom seen blend of Chenin Blanc and Semillon. The Chenin comes from Stellenbosch, whilst the Semillon is from Franschhoek. The Chenin adds a super bright and vibrant acidity to the wine, whilst the Semillon adds a bit more depth and breadth to the palate, and gives it a bit more of a waxy texture. The wine is aged in old oak barrels which again adds another dimension and nuance to the wine. Honestly, it punches above its weight this one, and is definitely more sophisticated than the playful label suggests. This is all about white peach, nectarines, white flowers and a touch of vanilla spice. Alex's sales were severely hampered during Covid 19, as the South African government issued a nationwise ban on the sales and purchasing of alcohol for most of 2020, and so we collaborated with her on the first Wasted Wine Club bottling to rescue these wines. ABV: 13%
