Mole (mole-ay) comes from the Aztec word mōlli, meaning ‘sauce’. Often compared to a curry—but far more complex—this rich, nutty Pipian Rojo is made from pumpkin seeds, smoky chillies, and warm spices. Traditionally served at celebrations, Chilli Maven brings it to the everyday table in an easy-to-use powder.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Chilli Maven was founded by Alexa and her love for salsa macha; a delicious and addictive Mexican chilli oil. Unable to find it in the UK, Alexa started making her own, which led to the idea of Chili Maven as a brand. She works with Sergio and Jacqueline; manufacturers in Mexico who have over 30 years experience making salsa macha.
