Mole (mole-ay) comes from the Aztec word mōlli, meaning ‘sauce’. Often compared to a curry—but far more complex—this rich, nutty Almond Mole is made with toasted almonds, warm spices, and smoky chillies. Traditionally served at celebrations, Chilli Maven brings it to the everyday table in an easy-to-use powder.

Flavour-wise, it’s smooth and slightly sweet, with a deep, roasted nuttiness and gentle heat. Simply mix with water or broth to create a velvety sauce. Pour over cooked chicken with rice, or use to make enchiladas and tacos. Comforting, rich, and effortlessly delicious.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Chilli Maven was founded by Alexa and her love for salsa macha; a delicious and addictive Mexican chilli oil. Unable to find it in the UK, Alexa started making her own, which led to the idea of Chili Maven as a brand. She works with Sergio and Jacqueline; manufacturers in Mexico who have over 30 years experience making salsa macha.
