Pickled tea leaves, also widely known as "Lahpet" in Myanmar, is a edible tea leaf uniquely available in the country. This version adds chilli and lime, to add a complex, addictive layer of fiery heat and zest to the traditional side dish.
Muyar source their tea leaves from the Shan State of Myanmar.
Pickled tea leaves are usually enjoyed with crispy mixed beans and nuts, either as a salad, or cooked with meat curries.
