This is a sweet, zesty, and pretty spicy mango chutney that has a unique flavour, and story too.
The founder of Third Culture Kat, Sal's family has been growing mangos for three generations in Multan. Chaunsa, the mango used in this recipe, is considered the sweetest in Pakistan. This chutney is a tribute to the fine produce of the region, and to all the farmers who cultivate this incredible fruit in extreme hot temperatures (think 48 degrees celcius!).
It's blended with fresh lemon juice and bird's eye chilli, making this chutney well-balanced and a lovely, flavoursome companion to amp up any dish. Experiment pairing it with tacos, ceviche, pizza, curry, in a toastie, and drizzled on salads.
