Mádl - Frankovka Rose: Czech Rosé Wine

Stanislav Mádl is Czech wine-producer, creating single varietal wines, that allow the pure essence of each grape to be expressed. His wines have minimum sulphites added.

This is a Blaufränkisch Rose. It's a dry wine, with a beautiful balance of acidity and sweetness.

To make it, Mádl destems the grapes, which are then crushed and left for a short skin-on maceration in a chilled, open tank. Cold temperatures mean that only the brighter notes of the red berry fruits have infused into the wine. Fermentation then took place in stainless steel tank.

The result is a versatile, fruity yet acidic wine, which is great served with fruit salad, out at a picnic or on a sunny afternoon in the garden.
