Benoit Bertrand crafts bold, high-expression wines on organic, biodynamic land in Languedoc, continuing his family’s long-serving tradition of natural winemaking. This expressive blend of Petit Manseng and Chenin Blanc is bold and textured, with a palate of tropical fruits, citrus, and subtle toastiness from a year in oak barrels. Lively acidity and mineral undertones balance this full, fruity wine. Try it with grilled fish, roasted poultry, and creamy cheeses. Certified organic and biodynamic, suitable for vegans, and with no added sulphites. ABV: 14.5%.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Benoit Bertrand makes high-expression wines atop basalt soils in the Languedoc region. The winery has been in the family since the French Revolution. The land has long been farmed organically without chemicals, as previous generations refused to ever adopt conventional techniques. Now, the winery is also certified biodynamic. As part of the family connection, each child gets a cuveé named after them.
