Yok Chan has been perfecting her chilli oil recipe since 1998 using influences from Chinese, Malaysian and Sri Lankan cuisines. Made in small batches; this classic chilli oil uses dried chillies and homemade curry powder. It has a pleasing warmth. Drizzle over cheese on toast or scrambled eggs.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Yok Chan’s Chilli Oil is a homemade chilli oil influenced by Chinese, Malaysian, and Sri Lankan flavours. It was created by Yok Chan who began making her chilli oil in East London in the 1980s to save money. Each batch is made up of 25 jars and is a celebration of heritage and diverse cultures.
