Carambouille, 2023: Rhône Valley Organic Red Wine

Translucent ruby in colour and with a bouquet bursting out the glass with notes of grenadine, tangerine and sweet spices. Supple, fresh and extremely digestible. A perfect wine for hosting, socialising and gifting. This red wine is best served chilled, so remove from the fridge a few hours ahead of serving, so it's at 9-11°C.

This comes from a top winemaker who has worked with some of the best wineries in Burgundy, now branching out on her own. The vines are 25 years old, on average on soils of heavy clay mixed with pebbles that naturally limit yields (40 to 45 hl/ha). Carambouille is the name of the plot: a name that winemaker Anna loved, but later discovered means a hoax in local ‘patois’!
