Okan was born from Moto Sakurai’s passion for authentic Osakan flavours, starting as a humble food stall on Brick Lane before finding a home in the kitchen of a jazz club in Camberwell. Now based in London, Okan brings the warmth of a Japanese mother’s cooking to the UK, specialising in traditional Osakan okonomiyaki and soul-nourishing street food. With a heartfelt mission to connect people to Japanese culture through honest, homemade flavours, Okan hopes to inspire curiosity—and perhaps even a journey to Japan itself.
